Stained Glass Care Instructions
Stained glass is fragile, please handle it with care. It is not recommended to use a suction cup to hang your piece because they can lose grip and fall. I recommend securing to your window latch, using a command strip appropriate for the weight of the glass piece, or hanging on a secured nail on the wall.
Your new stained glass piece is cleaned, waxed and polished. If you find it necessary to clean the piece, wipe with a microfiber or soft cotton cloth. Do not use any chemical or acid-based cleaners on it. If you find the piece needs more than a soft cloth, use a gentle dish soap and gently scrub. Make sure to dry after washing. It is natural for oxidation to occur over time on the lead and solder lines. If this should happen, use a wet q-tip to wipe it away. Avoid contact with anything abrasive, as it will scuff and damage the piece, especially pieces that have a black or copper patina finish. The solder lines are done with lead solder which is not dangerous unless it's ingested. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me. Enjoy!
